The organization mission:

To promote a positive attitude and offer comprehensive health services to the less privileged, i.e. vulnerable children, youth, women, elderly and people with disabilities to enhance their rights and welfare so that they can wholesomely contribute to economic development of Uganda. Our emphasis is on capacity strengthening through trainings and transfer of practical knowledge and skills to children, women, youth, the elderly and people with disabilities.

On the basis of the above, International Family Support Centre in collaboration with Upper Foundation and Uganda Development health Associate has organized are free medical care to the rural masses through outreach medical camps. The main objective is to improve the health of the communities in different Districts with the aim of covering more than 1,000,000 population who will be coming to access health services in our operational Districts. Over the past 2 years IFSC have conducted more than 10 medical camps in collaboration with local village leaders of Slum of Kampala and Wakiso together with Non-Governmental Organization like Elderly initiative Uganda, Farm Vally Uganda, Apar foundation Ltd and other NGO’s in around Kampala.

We also take this opportunity to provide SRHR services, dental care Preventive, educative, wellness, and health awareness programs. Some of the few preventive programs testing for  hepatitis B and extended health education programs on Cancer Awareness, Diabetes, Hypertension, Antenatal Care, Breast Feeding, Malaria, and Tuberculosis  through  Rural Training Health Centres, Urban Training  Health Centres and Medical Camps, Health and Awareness Camp For Schools, Orphanages, Children Living HIV and Old Age Homes.

International Family Support Centre in collaboration with Ministry of Health ,Upar Foundation and Uganda Development Health Associate has organized a health medical camp for 2020. On that note 15th -16th – Feb -2020 we have chosen IFSC Office  Kamuli District to horst the first health camp in particular  Busota sub county and we hope it will attract several organization within, and the government to join hands in providing medical support to vulnerable groups. Kamuli has approximately to the total population of 58984 of which male are 28049 giving 47.55% and Female 30.935 giving 52.45%. However, Population aged 0-17 years 31,165 that is 54.0% aged 18-30 years 13,888 making 24.1% aged 31-59 years 10,503 giving 18.2% and Population aged 60 years and over 2,117 making 3.7%

The statistics shows that Kamuli has Persons with Disabilities of different impairment aged 2 years and above with a disability being 5,385 making 10.0% of the total population. However, 1,198 at 4.4% are Children 2-17 years with a disability, Youth 18-30 years with a disability 939 are making 6.8% and finally older persons 60 years and above with a disability 1,245 of which makes 58.8%.

Many challenges have been registered in Kamuli District of which health situation has been quoted several times in different researches, poverty, and early marriage, education level and poor hygiene are some of the issues associated with different community.

On that note International Family Support Centre in in collaboration with upper foundation has based on such issues to organize are two day Health camp to support people at risk more so vulnerable groups to access free medical treatment.

The following services shall be provided;.

  • All Family planning services
  • Dental clinic
  • Eye clinic
  • Cancer screening
  • STI screening and treatment
  • HIV/AIDS counselling and testing
  • Hepatitis testing,
  • Antenatal care and support.
  • Health talk.
  • Blood donation
  • Nutritional support
